01 Mar ALS Association Conference
In 2014, we were the proud sponsor of the ALS Annual Leadership Conference. This conference brings together national and chapter staffs, the board of trustees, and the board of volunteer leaders for their annual meetings. Throughout the conference, training is offered for chapter staff members that are involved in the Walk to Defeat ALS Program. This year’s training program was expanded to advance fundraising topics and techniques, complete with guest speakers as well as internal speakers.
The conference is typically held in late January/early February and this year it took place in San Diego and is held in a different city every year. The ALS Association works to recognize local heroes – patients with ALS and their families, and also share the successes that each chapter network has experienced in the past year and announce awards in a variety of categories.
About The ALS Association:
Established in 1985, The ALS Association is the only national non-profit organization fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease on every front. By leading the way in global research, providing assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships, The Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure.
